There is something extra special about a San Francisco family photography session at Hawk Hill. The sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the golden coastal light, and the fresh ocean breeze create a dreamy backdrop for timeless family photos. This particular session had all of that—and even more heart.
This Hawk Hill family session was everything I dreamed it to be + MORE! Truly, there is just something about twin girls that is simply beyond adorable. Their little smiles, their sweet bestie bond, their matching outfits — it’s all just PRECIOUS!
When I first spoke with their gorgeous mama over the phone, she explained that finding her girls outfits would be bit of a challenge because the girls would inevitably want to wear what the other is wearing if they didn’t all wear the same thing…
She told me that when her twins both want to wear the same pair of shoes, they “share” by each just wearing one shoe from the set (and then a different shoe from another set on the other foot). I can’t handle the cuteness!!
And capturing these girls’ sweet bonds with each other and with their beautiful parents was such a joy.
This charming family is from Australia and only here in California for a few short years, so I am so grateful that I could capture this sweet season in their life while they’re in the Bay! And the girls little Australian accents were so adorable! I hope they will treasure these images for decades to come, even once the girls are many years past their shoe-sharing era. :)
Golden Hour Family Photos at Hawk Hill in San Francisco
Golden hour at Hawk Hill overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge is one of my favorite locations for family photography in the San Francisco Bay Area. The warm sunlight on the hills and the bridge glowing in the distance.. it’s all just so dreamy!!
This session took place on a slightly windy evening, but even though it was a bit chilly, I honestly thought the wind added to the dreamy aesthetic!
And even with the cold, these sweet little girls loved exploring Hawk Hill and it was adorable to watch. They explored the hilltop, giggled together, and gave the sweetest little hugs. I couldn’t take the cuteness. Their energy brought so much life and joy to the session, and the playful energy of little kids bring always creates the most authentic family photographs. And I loved watching Lauren & Chris interact with each other and their sweet girls. It was so evident how much love is in this family. <3
I loved watching the twins absolutely dote on their baby sister. They held her hands, leaned in for cuddles, and proudly showed her off throughout the session. Watching siblings interact is always one of my highlights.
